It was suppose to be just that, but the feminists were upset that women were not included…as was I!:lol:

I’m sure the Canadians don’t want her either. 😆
in reply to: Most Trouble Free Wood Shaft #32571In hindsight, I wish I wouldn’t have narrowed the list to 3 specific types of wood.

I had the premium membership, but I no longer have internet at home except via my iphone and the application used for viewing the online magazine and my iphone are not compatible, so I let it expire. My only access to the internet on a pc now is at work, and I really don’t get much time to view articles. 🙁
It’s my understanding that only out-of-print back issues are available with the premium membership. That’s no longer the case?
in reply to: Eclipse Broadheads #32359Chad Sivertsen wrote: Hmmm, I guess just the picture alone could give a wrong impression. The bear was wounded, I tracked it in thick cover and made this shot when it came at me from very close range. The broadhead penetrated to the center of the brain cavity (center punched the brain), so yes it was quite lethal.
That shot would never be a first shot but under the circumstances it was a legitimate target and might have saved me a good thrashing.
The story was in the Dec/Jan 2007 TBM.
That was just a failed attempt at a joke (something I do MUCH too often), but I’m glad I attempted anyway, since you elaborated because of it. 😉
I don’t have that issue, but intend to eventually obtain all of them (when the funds become available). I look forward to reading about it.
in reply to: Eclipse Broadheads #32337😯 Yeah, but was that shot lethal, Chad? 🙂

❓ Please elaborate Ron. I’m wondering why you prefer the double bevel version.
in reply to: Michigan "Meatout Day" #32169She did it to placate vegetarian activists.
Nope she’s from Canada.😆 Dave, the way my luck has been for the last two years, I’ve not been hauling any “meatout”. In fact, maybe I should become a vegetarian activist too. I’m sure I’d have better luck shooting heads of lettuce than I’ve had shooting deer with my longbow!
in reply to: Wood arrows and EFOC #24658Fletcher, that’d be a great post for the “How much bow and arrow for hogs?” thread in the Big Game section too! I’d post it there as a quote, but I didn’t want to overstep by bounds.
in reply to: TBM Arrived Yesterday! #23469A question for Robin: Do you make a considerably lower profit on newstand purchases? (My guess is, yes)
I ask this because, per conversations with others, I’ve come to find that when buying books from places like Barnes and Noble, etc., the authors don’t make squat. Personally, I’d rather my money go to the creator of the product, whether that’s in the form of a book or magazine.
in reply to: Beaver fur silencers for life!!! #22514It sure is directly related considering you’re going to put him to good use on your longbow. Very cool GTA!
in reply to: Fletching Jig Preference #20633I was considering what to get, and decided on the tried and true Bitzenberger. The decision was made eaier when I got it as a Christmas present. It takes a MAXIMUM of 15 minutes to fletch one shaft with Platinum Fletch-Tite.
