in reply to: Heavy Judo points #47659
Check’s in the mail Michael. It was suppose to be ALL positive, so it’ll be slightly less than what we agreed to.
EDIT: Ooops, that should’ve been a PM.
in reply to: Bow quiver or not? #47198I’ve tried other options, but a bow quiver is just much more convenient…for deer hunting anyway. None of the bow quivers I’ve tried have added enough weight to be of concern at all. Only when I fill it with my heavy arrows do I notice it, not objectionably so though.
in reply to: Heavy Judo points #47144My pleasure.
Yes, FMJ’s are technically called Axis FMJ’s. The 300 Axis FMJ requires 5’s.
Technically, what I’m refering to as an Axis, is called the ST Axis. The 300 ST Axis requires 6’s.Oh, and how dare you question me! Didn’t you notice how many posts I’ve made on this forum?! That clearly makes me an expert. 😆
in reply to: Heavy Judo points #463593Rivers is refering to 300 Axis…not FMJ (They don’t sell FMJ’s)

Click on the ‘MORE’ link, and it’ll open up a chart.
in reply to: Heavy Judo points #46337Here ya go:
http://www.3riversarchery.com/product.asp?i=6758XYou need 5’s.
in reply to: Heavy Judo points #46279I was refering to the arrow insert, not the screw-in. The way Chris was arriving at 275 was including the arrow insert.
Regarding the scorpios…Have you tried them with the broadhead adapter rings for the Axis’ shaft?
in reply to: Heavy Judo points #46250Chris Shelton wrote: you said you shoot carbons, 100 grain brass inserts with a 50 grain weight behind, 125 grain judo???? Thats 275 . . . pretty close????
No, because the 315 grains doesn’t include the insert. If I may speak for Brett.:lol:
in reply to: Heavy Judo points #46221The Condor has prongs, and they’re wider than those on the Judo. The glue-on version is 145 grains. I know, still to light for ya, so…
You could do this:
175 grain Ace Hex Heads
125 grain Steel screw-in adapter
20 grain Zwickey Scorpio Broadhead StopperThat’ll get you to 320 grains.
in reply to: Heavy Judo points #46104If you’re not using wood arrows, you can buy the glue-in judos or condors and glue them to the 125 grain screw-in adapters. The condors are heavier and would get you closer to your target weight. That would get you to 270 grains. My broadheads and field points are 315 grains, and I use the 270 grain combo, and it works for me at the distances I shoot.

I figured you were going since I saw you will be playing in Detroit that weekend.
CORRECTION: I thought I remembered seeing that you’d be in Detroit that weekend…apparently I’m wrong. I must be losing it. 😯in reply to: Happy Birthday, David Petersen! #45847Happy Birthday D!

Did you just recently discover Wikipedia, Hiram? 😆
in reply to: Observations: My First Second Bow #44948😯 Yet, with all that, I’m sure you’re in better shape than I am! 😳
Moderation is not one of my strong suits either. My wife would definitely concur.
