😆 Not thinking is one of my favorite activities.
I have a bunch of favorite quotes:
“They that can give up essential liberty to to a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety”
-Benjamin Franklin
“There is no such thing as a stupid question, just stupid people that ask questions.”
-Chris Berman
“It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.”
-Aristotle

It appears to be a great start to me, and as Steve said, just keep shooting.
in reply to: Target Panic #28176Ahhhh….my old nemesis: TARGET PANIC! 👿
in reply to: The perfect April Michigan weekend, in February #28092As usual, nice pics, Crookedstick! It’ll be much more exciting when I tag along with you guys. It’s MUCH too boring when everyone is hitting the target!
in reply to: Wisconsin Albinos #22215Thanks D! All is well…albeit hectic. 😀
By not allowing them to be shot, we are not giving nature an even hand in allowing evolution to run its course. At the very least, as you pointed out, they are easier to see, hence they are easier targets for predators…including the human variety.
in reply to: Wisconsin Albinos #22154I don’t understand the idea of protecting albino deer. It’s a genetic defect.
in reply to: 35-pound longbow proves just enough… #23672That’s a funny looking silencer on that bow Crooked Stick!
in reply to: got hunting land today!!! #59065David Petersen wrote: Sam — perseverance furthers. You WILL kill a deer with your stickbow soon, clean and fast and fair. Took me four years of hard trying to get my first one, a whitetail doe. All these years later I’ll never forget the ancient, instinctive, ineffably great feeling in my heart and guts when she ran out of sight then I heard a commotion in the dry hardwood leaves, then silence. It’s good good good! Dave
Amen to all above, Dave!
in reply to: Does anybody really pay this much? #59056David Petersen wrote: Patrick — Is that you in your new avatar photo falling from the sky?
It sure is! 😀
in reply to: Does anybody really pay this much? #58737No, it will not make you a better shot, and no, I wouldn’t pay that much either. HOWEVER, what I have purchased from them has been absolutely meticulous, and I would be willing to bet it would be the same with their broadheads and the bow as well. Just the same, there’s no way I’d every buy a high end Mercedes (or any Mercedes for that matter), but I sure can appreciate the attention to detail AND why they cost so much.

That is SO typical of people in general. So many people like to give advice, and even scarier, are taken as experts, without really knowing what they are talking about. It drives me to drink. 👿
Well, the last part isn’t really true, but it’s an excellent excuse. 😉
in reply to: So dang funny!!! #58726That’s awesome!

Them’s some wise words right there. The bows (and the arrows) tell us a lot, if we’re paying attenton.

True, but it’s nice to have a good starting point. -
