in reply to: Lock on Treestands #22042
If I were buying a tree stand, it’d be a Lone Wolf, such as the one you’ve referenced. I’ve used about every tree stand under the sun (figuratively and literally), from the home made brutes my dad made, to tripods, which technically, aren’t tree stands, but you get my point. The ones my dad made were just a platform to stand on, so we’d have to stand the entire time. No chance of falling asleep in those babies!
How about the Lone Wolf Alpha Tech F1? You could still add additional cushioning to it if you desired.
in reply to: The Hammock Seat #21522That’s a relief! I figured there had to be something I was missing. Either that or you guys just don’t need to get as close as I do. 😆
in reply to: The Hammock Seat #21492Based on recommendations here, I bought one. It arrived today, and the first thing I noticed was how incredibly noisy the material is! 😯
in reply to: Target Panic #19904Oh how I can relate. I even completely stopped shooting for quite a while because I was getting so frustrated. You are right on the money when you say it’s exhausting. It really is!
in reply to: Target Panic #19831I just picked up a copy of the “Ironmind Archery Systems DVD: Target Panic and Shot Control Clinic”, and it’s great. He truly understands the root of the problem. Interestingly, I now understand why I don’t have a problem when shooting firearms. 💡

Well, that’s a pleasant surprise! I didn’t think I get anything by choosing the payment plan option.

Same here! (in Michigan)

Sunday morning, on my long walk back to my hunting spot, it was dead still. At 28 degrees, a hard frost covered everything not under a heavy canopy. My absolute favorite whitetail hunting weather! As I sat in my blind, the falling leaves from the maple and beech trees made it sound as though there was a constant light rain. I sat and listened to this from around 7:30AM – 9:45AM, and then nothing. They stopped falling. A light breeze with a bit of a gust every now and then had even picked up. Even during the gusts, the leaves were falling at a much, much slower rate…practically nothing. This still has me intrigued.
in reply to: My Trad Bowhunting season is (not) over! #17263It’s tough losing an animal, but it happens. After taking everyone else’s advice, you’ve calmed down, and regained perspective…saw the compound in half. 😉
in reply to: Nonresidents and Wilderness #13214Interesting conversation, as I’m also in the beginning stages of planning a similar hunt.

Good luck! Love the UP.

I like that a lot. Hadn’t heard of that company before.
in reply to: 2014 Hunting #59529Sunday morning I had a little four or six point come in. Just as I started my draw when he was about 15 yards from me, he busted me, and leaped back about 5 yards. Then proceeded to walk casually through brush, as if he knew he was just out of harms way (because of the brush, not the distance). 😥
The season has just begun though. 😀

That’s a beauty, even with the unjust pics. 😉

Nice knife by the way.
My wires are always crossed. 🙂
And thanks!

I’ll keep it active for ya. 😉

You like the handle on that Mini-Canadian, Smithhammer?
I wore my knife all weekend long. Only removed it to sleep. It’s very comfortable. Barely even realize I’m wearing it. That’s saying a lot considering I’ve never wore a neck knife before! Luckily the 4mm leather cord arrive on Friday. Looks much better than the paracord. The sheath is absolutely perfect.
