in reply to: …AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! #15679Happy 2016! Wishing you all health and the joy of dreaming of new adventures.
in reply to: WE WISH YOU A MERRY……. #59897Merry Christmas too! I missed it..had to work straight thru the Holiday due to a Michigan windstorm knocking the stuffing out of us..now they are saying maybe ice tomorrow!!
in reply to: I draw the line way, way before helicopters #57683I want to clarify I’m not anti 4X4:) I did give my kid my old one for Mercy’s sake. Though I love the mpg’s I’m getting with my current wheels I’m lusting after a Jeep Wrangler. I use 4X4 every day at work and find I miss having my own more than I thunked!
in reply to: I draw the line way, way before helicopters #18005Grumps – I gave my impoverished 21 year old son a break and gave him my long paid for Jeep Liberty. I too consciously went with a fwd car – over 40 mpg Hwy, consciously knowing I would limit my former options. I just can’t justify a 4X4 lifestyle most of the year. I had figured I had plenty of hunting adventures out of a Chevy Chevette long ago. I can settle for that again. I salute your forethought. Not for everyone no doubt, but personally I’m scaling back and trying to lessen my footprint.
in reply to: I draw the line way, way before helicopters #16944I think the marketing message is that the clothing gets you where want to go…is lightweight, etc. I’m not sweating it.
in reply to: Just wanted to say howdy .. #39651Welcome! Enjoy the tribe here. Great bunch of people!
in reply to: My beautiful NY buck #31913Way to go! Nice job Alex.
in reply to: Just sharing the day…. #34638Dang…I’ll take that on my upcoming one man trip, take it out and wipe my eyes when I get too much solitary:lol: No, in all seriousness, very good stuff. I love this site because you can let your gut just go and say things and not be judged…

Love it! This came straight out of my cranium with that inspiration – Texting and Driving is no Appcident. You know better”!

Hey, you still got us ??!
I appreciate that! Anyone up for a hunt to the UP let me know. Will be tough sledding due to some hard winters and bucks only but there won’t be much pressure and that’s what I live for.

in reply to: Seats vs The Ground #33669Is the Hammock Seat the one by fanatic outdoors? I’m going to order one if you guys say so. It looks lighter and more packable than even my little folding stool. The stool is generally ok, but it does press into your legs after a few hours and then you just want to get out of it – usually right about prime time too.
in reply to: What's with the phones? #33325BING-F’in-O! I have to have one for work, and yes they are handy for pics and lots more, but I made a conscious decision to go back to a dumb phone. For me, a smartphone was mainly a distraction from doing real stuff. I guess I’m a trad phone guy too:lol: Each to his own.
