in reply to: The 2013 Season Bulletin Board #22854
Alex – awesome! Keep us posted. I’m enjoying all the posts here as us poor slobs in Michigan wait for October 1:) I’ve been very happy hunting whitetails in the north country my whole life, but this elk business is giving me a wicked itch to give it a try.
in reply to: Canting the bow #22185I always can’t the bow. I can’t hardly imagine a hunting shot where you’re not in some screwed up position. The more you mix it up the better. I’m of the “not thinking about it” school. Tilt, twist and bend until muscle memory takes over then don’t stop!
in reply to: The 2013 Season Bulletin Board #20996That is a fantastic pic. Lifes’ reward for all the bs most of us put up with.
in reply to: Binoc recommendation #14466I just got a camo Tasco 10X25 pair dirt cheap. Found them in the middle nowhere dirt rd. A little dusty but cleaned up nicely and suit me fine.
You are infected with the bug alright! I’m pre- symptomatic myself. Best of luck and may time slow to a crawl for you our there.
in reply to: Hi Everyone #9933Welcome back!
in reply to: Best wishes for the TBM family #63872I hate with all passion that damn disease. All my best to anyone and everyone facing such a tough challenge.
in reply to: Stumpin/Killin in the South #62811There’s something instinctually honest about wanting to bash snakes, for me anyway. I don’t because I know they have a right to live too, their ecology, etc. But I won’t say my halo never needs polishing as far as snakes go either.
in reply to: Stumpin/Killin in the South #59586I’m pretty happy I don’t live in snake country. My old world grandma, long gone, gave me the word association of snake = ax! They don’t really bother me, but you can keep them:lol:
in reply to: goose'n the longbow #58425Beautiful! When do loose on the goose? I think the landing gear would have to be down for me at the least:D
