in reply to: another new tall guy question #57385
I have a 60″ Bear KH and feel that I am pressing the limits of the bow with about a 29.5″ draw. If your draw with traditional recurves is really 32.5 (you may find that with trad equipment your draw will be shorter than you use with wheels) You will be wanting to look at recurves in the 66-68″ length. Just an opinion and if you can, talk to a few bowyers and get their ideas they will know what you need regarding their individual bows.
in reply to: howard hill archery #49596Hill bows are my bows of choice. I have shot a Shrew but only very briefly — it seemed very nice. Again, bow selection must be a personal decision but a “try before you buy” philosophy will save some heartache down the road.
in reply to: howard hill archery #49554If you can, it would be worth your while to get as many different ones as you can find to shoot. Check with friends, go to trad archery events, etc. Many longbows have a personality of their own and one may suit your likes better than another.
in reply to: howard hill archery #48949Excellent bows if you want a Hill style bow (I have 6). Pretty fast service for a built to order bow and great customer service. Really fair price. Craig Ekin has been doing this for quite a while, don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Be advised that Hill bows are often reported to come in with a little higher draw weight than specified.

in reply to: Just saying hello #51514Thank you Robin. Guess I’ll need a map to how to post a Youtube link in my profile. I can find a spot for photos, favorites(that doesn’t work for me) and a blog ( whatever that is). I also see in the reply form where you can link to a video but…
Thanks for the information.

in reply to: Just saying hello #50706Josh, I think this will get you or anyone to the videos. On Youtube, just look for Moebow and I think they will come up.

in reply to: Just saying hello #50235[quote=BRUC]Are you the Moe that has the video on youtube ?
Yes, guilty as charged. I’m glad that you have found value in the videos. As I have said many times, there are lots of ways to get good at archery and many styles. The real purpose of my videos is to make you THINK about what you do and not to try to tell anyone that “this is how you have to do it.”
