I agree with Mike. I am no expert but when bare shaft tuning it is not so much the nock direction in the target (though that can be an indicator) but if the arrow flies right or left of a fletched group of arrows. Right is weak and left is stiff. If you watch closely you can often see the arrow flying with point right or left indicating weak of stiff. The fletching will cover a lot of problems with spine if you are just shooting field tips. I am currently tuning some new arrows and so the topic is fresh in my mind. I will say that when i got the length right the unfletched arrow flew like a dart from 35 yards, no wobble or yaw to the flight at all.

I have gone to 3-4″ feathers, and have no problems. I have not gone to any of the BIG two blade heads, but the WW’s have no issues with this set up.

So what is the longbow that has no hand shock. Love to try one or two out.

I have had great experiences with 3 rivers. My orders have arrived quickly. I even stopped in a month ago while on a family trip as they are open to the public on Saturdays. One of the techs spent a half hour with me helping me decide on the right arrow spine for what I wanted to do with front loading.

I only shoot one bow, a recurve. I love the looks of a longbow, but have not found one that does not have a noticeable hand shock vibration. I love shooting and I am afraid I would not enjoy shooting as much with the vibration (don’t know if my years of swinging a hammer until my forearm hurt from the vibrations has made me over sensitive).
