Thank you R2, glad to help trad guys with interest to hunt here, or to learn about it
in reply to: From Spain #40950Problem is that all are private lands and have access to good places at low cost is not usual. Most common animals to bowhunt are the wild hogs as are in all the country and as you know, are tough and clevers animals.
Bowhunt deers, ibex, chamois or others is possible but usually you need to spend money to hunt.
So, is not a bad place, we can hunt all year around if you have money, as after the general season (september-february) you could roe deers, relax during the summer and return to hunt during the rut season for deer and fallows, around september. And with a bit of luck you could have access to bowhunt hogs all year around….but money is always a problem.
For foreigners, the Ibex is always our most interesting animal but is not cheap. I was hunting females at low price, same scenaries but cheaper for sure. The anímals numbers are highs so usually you have real opportunities.

Roe deer rut is during the months of july-august
About the spanish, i have been hunting Texas two times ( javelinas and pigs). As you know, spanish is a usual language there. Curiously, while i was in Cabelas with my friends, a lady comes to us to ask me where i learn to speak spanish as was very polite and beauty.
Texas is a great place to bowhunt, very funny
