in reply to: Prehistoric stuff from indigenous people. #55256
That’s some cool stuff you have there. i have some rancher friends who live along the little missouri river in ND. They are constantly picking super artifacts like the spear and arrows heads you have.
Good reminder Dave, we are just visitors here.

in reply to: Thee Elusive Thunder Chicken #30627Super looking camp, great looking area, thanks for sharing
in reply to: moose hunt partner sought #18467Sorry that’s incorrect. Each hunter has his own tag ( bull only) no cross tagging. Otherwise the hunt would be a lot cheaper. ( and not nearly as much fun)
I will fly the meat home as I did last time. I did not have any inspection as it flew as extra baggage. Expensive yes but worth every penny! in 2007 it cost me around 400.00 at the airport when i showed up with 5 coolers. i am sure it is more now as is everything else.
in reply to: First 3D traditional shoot #8146yup. you can camp right at the shoot. There is a large field on the edge of the shoots compound where people usually set up the camps.. Usually a dozen or so hard core 3ders are there camping each time i go.
you can always call the club to confirm.

in reply to: Thoughts from a Luddite #39178It helps me be a better archer when I have the facts. I have been shooting traditional bows for 35 years. I am much better archer now then I ever was because of guys like Dr. Ashby. I am not smart enough to figure some of this stuff out. Thankfully others are and are willing to share their knowledge. When I shoot well, I also have more fun. Ignorance is not bliss.

in reply to: Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) Chart for N. America #12381It literally breaks my heart. There was a giant elk farm in this area that had CWD in 2005, They destroyed 1000 animals. The farm now has beef cows on it . I do not understand why these elk/deer farms are allowed to exist. I am all for an individuals right to earn a living but when an operation can put an entire wild population at risk , I think then some one should just say NO! Hopefully when they kill 1000 deer in the next few weeks they wont find any more infected animals but I’d say I am dreaming
in reply to: Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) Chart for N. America #11786looks like they now have to add Mn in Yes in wild Cervid column what a bummer
