fun movie. Especially loved the scene shooting while riding her horse. It was also great to see a movie where the girl didn’t need some handsome prince to save her, a good moral for our daughters and granddaughters. be who you are and you can do it yourself!!

in reply to: Who Hunts Alone Most of the Time? #39818living in the Midwest and living on good hunting acreage allows me to hunt out my back door nearly every day of our whitetail season. I love hunting alone but i also love making good memories for good friends. Weekends at my farm usually spent putting friends on stands then listening to their excitement at the end of the day while Watching the fire embers slowly fade. I even put up a yurt for them to stay in ( keeps peace in the house). Some guys I know tell me I am screwing up my chances at the big bucks that live here but I’d just as soon see one of my friends kill one as doing it myself.

in reply to: A whole new take on ethics #20290the only thing that surprises me is the amount of the fines. Good to see the gov’t is finally hitting these guys the only place it hurts, their pocket books!
I have been arguing for years that deer/elk breeding farms will eventually be the end of all wildlife.
MN had one of the largest captive elk herds destroyed recently due to an outbreak of CWD.
this one farm has cost taxpayers $$$$$ making sure it hasn’t spread into the wild deer population.

in reply to: A long look at fletching and EFOC #16902Ed need help here
I cut some A & A shaped and size fletch’s and have pretty good good results. Then i saw that gateway sells a shape they call razor in a 2 inch length. I went and got a package. i shoot a high wrist and my hand is very close to the shelf. I am now getting the odd arrow bouncing due to one of the feathers hitting my top nuckel ( I bare shaft tune the arrows and was darn close to perfect.). I am thinking its the occasional bad release rather then feather height?
