It sounds like you may be torquing the string. When you draw the bow back make sure your draw hand is flat and at the same angle as the bow. If the bow is vertical your hand against your face needs to be vertical, if you can’t the bow your hand and head need to be canted at the same angle. If not you will show nock high on paper and bare shaft tuning. Get somebody to watch you draw the bow if you are torquing the string it will put downwrd pressure on the arrow and will be visible beacause the arrow will have a bow in it. Hope this helps.
