I guess I’m not smart enough to understand all of what the professor and the producer were making points about. I was getting a little distracted waiting so long for David to get a mike. The whole interview was like the beach at slack tide and every time David spoke was like a coho or a humpy break the surface. Maybe next time they’ll let David roll with it.
Thanks Col.

in reply to: Lost Season, Maybe Worse #26116I’ve heard that noise and waited more than a decade to get it fixed. It took years and a lot of slow steady work but that shoulder is sound. Now,it’s the other one giving me grief. So, don’t bend that good one too many times in the doo daa room. Ya don’t want to tip over and hurt that sore one. Good luck with the surgery.
in reply to: My Trad Bowhunting season is (not) over! #17985Sounds like a good path you are on. Train, run the race, practice then hunt. Good luck friend.
in reply to: Elkheart radio interview #41778I don’t think I’ve ever heard “Thoreauvian” used so perfectly in a sentence before. Great interview. Books on tape would be cool.
in reply to: Where do you stand? #12152I choose to take my limit with a bow. That doesn’t mean I won’t poach with a shot gun if I’m not lucky with my bow. Where I live a lot of folks just take deer. End of story. They don’t apply for permits they just fill their freezers. Wrong or right it’s just how it is here.
in reply to: Noteable Quotes! #8290I always liked “The more you know the less you need to carry”. I forget who Dave attributed it to.
I’ve got a bunch of white lilacs in my hand that I stole from my favorite neighbor for you Robin. They are beautiful with only a couple of blossoms down by the base starting to brown. They are for you ,but I’ll give them to a friend who is due to deliver a baby boy in three weeks. There fragrance is astonishing, Thanks for keeping us on track and being so gentle when we wander.

in reply to: June July TBM #34585Thanks for the heads up Jim. My favorite wife is searching for where she hid it now. I suspect she thinks she’ll get more work out of me if I never see that particular mag.(grin)
