in reply to: Anybody Make Their Own Tabs #40434
I started making my own tabs quite a few years back. I like a fairly thin tab so i can still feel the string, and I thought that the tabs on the market are a little pricier than I would like. So I bought a sheet of cordovan leather, the best for tabs since it is tough and stays slick, from a company in Missouri whose name now escapes me. I have made many tabs for me and others, and still have plenty of leather left.
I simply trace an old tab, then cut with an extremely sharp knife. I also taper the edges of the leather so it makes a smooth transition from full thickness.
in reply to: Wilderness First Aid Kit #13352Thanks Doc and all who responded. I think it would be a good idea to write something on the topic. Some of the pre-packaged kits probably have too much stuff and may will tend to be bulky……….and expensive if you want more than one.
in reply to: Posting Pictures in the Forums #50457Alright, I checked under multimedia and the “show pictures” is checked, but there is an item above it called “Show image download placeholders” that was unchecked………..so I checked it and I think that may have done the trick. But I am not sure. I can see pictures in this thread but in a couple of spots I see something that tells me that the image or video has been moved or deleted.
I really appreciate all the help; hopefully now I can enjoy all the pictures posted.
in reply to: Posting Pictures in the Forums #50261Thanks Robin…..
I have Windows7 and IE8……..I have to say that I had the same issue when I was using WindowsXP also.
One question, is it necessary for me to have an account with photobucket just to view the pictures? I do not.
in reply to: Posting Pictures in the Forums #50078My issue is actually being able to see the photos that are posted using photobucket……….it happens on this iste as well as any other site such as Stickbow, etc. I can see the photos that are loaded directly to the thread but nothing with photobucket, instead I get the dreaded X in an empty box, and when I click on the x evrything gets hung up. Any ideas how to fix this?
