in reply to: On The Wild Edge #29543
Mine has been delivered and unwrapped, just waiting for 67 minutes free of distraction, preferably with the whole family. Best, dwc
in reply to: Fletching Glue Quandry #63165I use the fletch tape, too. I like building arrows but I’m too impatient for the glue. When I can find time to build one i want to get it done. For me it’s usually just one or two at a time, often to replace a lost or busted stumper. My cheap carbons are just way too durable! Dwc
in reply to: On The Wild Edge #31066Mike, thanks for the heads up. My order has been placed. I look forward to seeing the entire film. Petersen’s voice has been an important one for me. All the best to you all, david
in reply to: Share buttons #60138After a few days of reading the site on my phone, which is a higher percentage for me than the computer screen, I’m ready to reiterate my feelings on the buttons. The things just get in the way. I won’t be using them and they impose upon the left hand of the text and photos with the phone in the horizontal position. I use the phone in that position to make the text larger and easier to read than in the vertical position. It’s technology I don’t need and it’s technology that impedes upon the technology I am choosing to use.
Thanks for asking, Robin. I appreciate that you count all our views in your decisions and do what’s best for the site and keeping the trad community together. All the best, david
in reply to: Share buttons #40551R2, nice photo. That’s what I’m saying. If it works best for tradbow I’ll be fine. Just my two cents. Enjoy your holiday weekend. I might fire a silent shot into the sky for celebration! best, dwc
in reply to: Share buttons #39086For me, it more that it takes up screen space on my phone. I don’t use these buttons, so it’s just something else that pops in and gets in the way. If it’s good for tradbow and helps Webmom with the site, then I can deal with it. Otherwise, I’ll be happy to do without.
I don’t think it’s a contradiction to want even one less bit of technology in our world filled with it. I don’t see myself going off the grid anytime soon, and probably not until the lights go out for the last time. But I’m happy to eliminate what I can and use it for what I need it for. Thanks, dwc
in reply to: Share buttons #30074I like it better with the smaller buttons. I don’t think I’ll use them so I’d rather have the screen space. I’m accustomed to holding the phone in the horizontal position and the buttons obscure the left of the post. In the vertical position it’s not any problem. The benefits will probably outweigh any inconveniences. Thanks for always looking at ways to make the site better for us! Dwc
in reply to: PA Traditional Archery Season #25592I spoke with a person at the PA Game Commission this morning and he suggested that I send an email with this idea to be considered by the board. He also said anyone else who has ideas about it should also send an email. Here’s the address for anyone interested.
All the best, David
in reply to: Shooting Tips Video – With a Selfbow! #47248Clay, thanks for the tips. Took me a few days to write this, but I’ve tried the let down several times and do think it helps. Keep em coming! Thank you, dwc
One well respected elk hunter who has stepped into the shadows of this forum would have you go heavy. Other well accomplished hunters would say it’s overkill. I suppose the right answer might be, heavy is fine as long as you are shooting it well. Of all the factors that determine a humane kill, hitting your mark is the first order. Best of luck, dwc
in reply to: What ya got goin? #36001R2, you’re pretty good with that thing. Getting it done the old way. Dc
in reply to: What ya got goin? #17161Better send me the gps coordinates just in case …
in reply to: What ya got goin? #14300Wose, you might want to park your truck somewhere else to. A pick up truck parked in hunting season can be construed as “elk sign.” dwc
in reply to: More moose mojo, please #51526I bet you read the article on birch bark moose calls in Tradbow this issue. I’m only slightly jealous. Just a little. Hardly at all. dwc
in reply to: More moose mojo, please #41853Feel free to post links to what’s useful. It would be neat to follow the pursuit. Enjoy, dwc
