Good morning Steve,

I’m seeing a little side to side and sometime it seems like they cork screw just a bit. I did bareshaft and occasionally shoot a bare shaft just for fun. I also did a paper test last year and got beautiful results. When I shot yesterday I watched closely and did see some wiggle even in 20 and under. They are shooting right on the mark when I do my part. I suppose I should leave well enough along. I’m certainly not going to spend much time tuning with five days of the season left on the calendar! dwc

So I had the alarm set for 5 a.m. and lots of woolies to head out into the single digits. At 4 a.m. the CO alarm went off and the family is out on the porch in their PJs until they get the all clear, windows and doors open, etc…  So much for the hunt today.  Stuff happens. There is one week left.

I went to a neighbors’ property last night to hunt and saw about 4-5 deer running up the fence row about 200 yards away.  If they only knew how safe they were, they’d come by to stick out their tongues…

All we need is your prose, grumpy!

Took a New Years stroll looking to trails. Set up a stand in a place I’ve been looking at for years. When I first to to the spot, an old hemlock sitting over a slow spring, two doe started heading my way but winded me out about 150 yards. Lots of tracks. Hope to see some deer there in the next week or so. Happy New Year to you all! Dwc
