Okay, Breeding, just button your lip and get moving. We’ll see how impressed you are when we get you to Headquarters.

      One Atta Boy issued!

If … IF … you tried that with a double-bevel BH I wonder what it would look like at 25 yards. I know from the testing I did with unfletched normal FOC arrows that the single bevel showed a steerage effect. The shooting was all close, 10 yards, but with a right-bevel the single-bevel’s wanted to go low and left, as if they were doing a slow-roll, but they made a group. The double-bevels did not group. They made a ‘shotgun pattern’, going every which direction.

I’d like to know if the FOC you have would shoot better at 25 yards, unfletched, with a bouble-bevel. Perhaps you can get a unbeveled blank BH to try. My interest is in the relationship between the arrow’s velocity and the broadhead’s windsheer at BHFOC. I’m sure those PNG arrows were less than 100 fps.

I’ve had great luck with the A&A on arrows with FOC from about 25% on up. I haven’t given them a try on FOC’s lower than that, but suspect that a 3″x3/4″ would work at FOC’s in the low 20’s.

Shhhhhhh … The Trad Police are everwhere. I’ve had to go into the “Techsec program” and now have a new identity …

Ron’s advice is golden. Follow it and you will end up with single-bevel BH’s that are “truly sharp”. I second Dave’s comment on the KME knife sharpener. It’s the best there is for single-bevel broadheads.

Each of my PNG friends five big game arrows are different, but each is ‘tuned’ to shoot from his bow! Note the varied shaft lengths. They tune their non-traditional UEFOC arrows the same way we do, by altering the shaft length. Doesn’t matter that each of the shafts have a slightly different spine if you tune each one individually! 😀

Before I get ticketed by the Trad Police which should I give up, my straight-end longbow, Hill-style shooting glove, St. Charles quiver and moccasins or my ‘too high-tech’ arrows? ❓

Duct tape in the space program! That does it. Can’t use duct tape, it is definitely too high tech to be traditional. 😕
