I have the cabela’s Big Horn II guide tent.Works well for me..Have used it in the Blue Ridge Mountains and Wayne National Forest in Ohio in temps down to 12 degree’s and stayed warm using the Big Buddy heater..I run a 5′ propane hose out thru the zippered floor to the tank for the grill..Last all week then some..also got the extra floor liner and the vestibul..
Good advise Stumpkiller.I’m working on getting two more of these. The F.O.C. will not be to good with these heads but will aim for the 650 grain total weight to increase penetration.Stuck it on one of my P.O.C shafts.60-65 lb spine and the weight came out to 567 grains..Not even close..Have some raw tapered Douglas Fir I will try when I get them stained and sealed.
in reply to: Cresting and Pictures #20171stumpkiller ..would these be the gell type sharpies or the metalic kind and what did you use for cresting?Thanks..Tony.

in reply to: tapered P.O.C. #42484Thanks a lot “Scout”and Mr.Peterson.I Think its great that we have a place “Forum” like this that someone can get this quality of info that we get from you’all..Pardon the accent,I’m from North Carolina.I realize that I may have to have more spine if I want a 30″arrow.I know that removing weight from the back will help in more F.O.C. That’s why the interest in tapered arrows.I’m sure that I will end up with some decent whitetail arrows..Love wood arrows..Thank’s, Tony
in reply to: tapered P.O.C. #41314Thanks cyberscout for the info..those sound close to what I’m trying to build.I want to order the raw tapered shafts from 3 rivers and tune them to my longbow.Hope to end up with a slightly heavier arrow around the magic “650”grain mark with a
30 inch shaft as I have a 28 inch draw 55 lb bow.I do love the “FireFlys and “AutumLegend”arrows offered by Ron LaClair made by Master Arrosmith Paul Jalon..
