Richard
I get up tired (sore) and get more so as the day wears on …..a well, almost in the ” golden years “… haha
Sounds like you had a good morning adventure! I need to suit up and do the same. I got out for the end of spring turkey, but, I think it went a bit late in my area. Saw some Tom’s but never managed to close with them. They seemed very spooky this year. At least where I was hunting…
I have not seen much javelina last ( or this) year. Glad you got into some. Always fun to stalk. Keeps the skills sharp..

I remember the browning bows as excellent quality bows. Outstanding job on cleaning up the case.
Looking forward to seeing the final refinished bow. Bet it shoots just fine…

I looked around a bit. Apparently it went away in 2003 owned by Bass pro . Some other individuals tried to resurrect it, but got into legal squabbles ( trademark/ name? ) and it never got set back up…..

I have always preferred the glove. For me it gives the most control.

in reply to: Consistent arrow material to hunt with? #158671Ditto what Richard said….
Aluminum is probably the most economical, carbon ( light /thinner) good for gaining more efoc ( if interested) wood is historical and classy.. really comes down to personal preference. I shoot them all.

in reply to: Whatch Got Going 2022 #158496Very interesting. We need more bees out there…
I know different areas cause different taste in honey. Can that also have effect on the texture of the honey? The reason for that question; a friend of mine used some beeswax from a local friend who makes his own . The bullet lube he made from this was thicker, than that made from commercial. Which was preferred….

For those interested I just picked up a pr of the new Bushnell 10×32 “mini” ( these are a little bigger than the shirt pocket size opera type) forge 13.7 ounce binos. I was looking for a small powerful glass for out to 100yds (200 max) mostly for use from a blind / hide. These are a very good binocular for 250 bucks +-. Very clear. rubber armor to boot…

in reply to: Hunting Binoculars #158330I use an old pair of Swarovski 8x30wb slc. They are light, and work well for my bowhunting needs.
When I used to chase Coues a lot, I broke out the 10 x 42 and 15 x 50s ( leica/Swarovski) for glassing in the western mtns….
