That is a shame – wild pig is great chow !!
if it is, as he said, too bad he didn’t call tradebow up so we could get to-gether a pig hunting Jamboree -Hootenanny – and Bar B Cue — bring down all interested members and show him it is possible to have a wonderfull hunt, and give him back his indigenous wildlife balance ————-haha – {although i really do like the idea of it}–
If someone really did have a hog problem [ with a lot of pigs]set up a 3d shoot – after the shoot– hit the bush and get some pork chops– an all around camping and backwoods by foot hunting Extravaganza—

in reply to: NY porkers make the news #26691I love to hunt pigs. I will believe there truly is a “hog problem” when land owners let one have a free hunt to get rid of the critters, and there are actually a lot of hogs on the property. Every place I know here in the SW charges [unless you have known em for 25 yrs] and the hogs are rarely there except in passing thru– if any members know any places that are over run with pigs and need help let me know, I would be happy to help! -haha

If you don’t already have it, I would suggest getting a copy of –The Traditional Bowhunters Handbook by TJ Conrads–. A lot of helpful info for people starting out and a great ref for us older Geezers.
It has been a while since I shot a HHill type longbow – but you might check with the maker on proper brace Height. I don’t believe the fletch should be touching/on the shelf? sounds too low.

in reply to: New T/D Recurve #24976How beautiful the bow is and how well it shoots is exactly what I would have expected from an old master* – Mr Troy-

I have eaten rabbit at other times and I am still here – probably best to cook it well – like pork —
I am sure there are some other members who have more info, as to the science of it–

I always like hiking/horsebackin in the San Pedro Parks Wilderness. Did a lot of it some years back. Looks like they are just as dry this year as the Gila–

I think your rendition of the RMR has much cleaner lines than the original, and is a very sleek looking, beautiful Bow —

the Grizzly’s are always HUGE [in the stories] – and even a small one, would seem that way –if all you had was an arrow to stab em with —
