      Wildschwein –

I did not realize you were that far out in the bush – Way Cool {LITERALLY & Figuratively}, been to Calgery and Banff/Jasper NPs –Beautiful country. What caused the closing of the season? [ do vaguely remember something about that]

        Wildschwein –

great story. Have you seen or heard of many Grizzly working there way east [plains] in your province [Alberta? -I am guessing you are in the foothill area of the Rockies]

That is a shame – wild pig is great chow !!

if it is, as he said, too bad he didn’t call tradebow up so we could get to-gether a pig hunting Jamboree -Hootenanny – and Bar B Cue — bring down all interested members and show him it is possible to have a wonderfull hunt, and give him back his indigenous wildlife balance ————-haha – {although i really do like the idea of it}–

If someone really did have a hog problem [ with a lot of pigs]set up a 3d shoot – after the shoot– hit the bush and get some pork chops– an all around camping and backwoods by foot hunting Extravaganza—

I love to hunt pigs. I will believe there truly is a “hog problem” when land owners let one have a free hunt to get rid of the critters, and there are actually a lot of hogs on the property. Every place I know here in the SW charges [unless you have known em for 25 yrs] and the hogs are rarely there except in passing thru– if any members know any places that are over run with pigs and need help let me know, I would be happy to help! -haha

                ssummer1 –

If you don’t already have it, I would suggest getting a copy of –The Traditional Bowhunters Handbook by TJ Conrads–. A lot of helpful info for people starting out and a great ref for us older Geezers.

It has been a while since I shot a HHill type longbow – but you might check with the maker on proper brace Height. I don’t believe the fletch should be touching/on the shelf? sounds too low.

How beautiful the bow is and how well it shoots is exactly what I would have expected from an old master* – Mr Troy-

Bill McClennan SAPD an old mentor of mine — he was not always right — but more often, then I like to admit —

I just took it off the bow, hung it and measured it –

After First frost was the old rule – cottontails —

I have eaten rabbit at other times and I am still here – probably best to cook it well – like pork —

I am sure there are some other members who have more info, as to the science of it–

I hope the Forest service can do something about the overuse in the Jemez. That area is over run with improper ATV use. veritable circus maximus on the weekends!

It is an early – very dry summer-

I am going to see a very good friend of mine — who is a Blackfoot, and get instructions for dancin for same –he sings beautifully — I don’t think I will ever do well at that part,or the dancin either, gotta try though. The west needs rain bad–

I always like hiking/horsebackin in the San Pedro Parks Wilderness. Did a lot of it some years back. Looks like they are just as dry this year as the Gila–

I think your rendition of the RMR has much cleaner lines than the original, and is a very sleek looking, beautiful Bow —
