Doc and mine posts must have crossed in the air. Anyway prevention is the best–I’m gonna have to try some of that stuff. 😀

No but my wife was miss diagnosed with it about 6 months ago–long story made short–blood test said yes–3 bouts of antibiotic and still positive—then we went to a specialist. After 2 hour interview she said–well you don’t have Lyme, your blood test clearly shows that (and she did another to confirm). Seems if the doc isn’t experienced they can make a mistake.

We do a tick check every time we are out there–lots around here. It takes about 3 hours for the little buggers to attach so check every 3 hours–that signal mirror comes in handy for checking those area’s you can’t see:D They are easy to flip up and remove before they attach. Yes it’s a hassle but it’s a better alternative then not being out there or in my opinion using chemicals. Having said all that we have found 3 ticks on us in the last 10 years–3rd one was on me this afternoon after returning from stumping.

        Hope this helps.

Look forward to seeing you at ETAR. Perhaps we can shoot the thunder child then blame our purchase on Bruce:D

Unfortunately, it looks like my spring turkey season is over – we made another stab at it last week, but the gobblers weren’t very fired up at all, and the hens and toms we were seeing were still very separate. It felt like it hasn’t even really kicked in yet. We called a couple gobblers part way in, but they hung up in the thick stuff and wouldn’t close the distance. So I moved in on one, and got very close to him without a clear shot, and then he disappeared. Still it was a lot of fun.

It appears that the better half could use a new bow and what about a side quiver:lol: A balanced inventory!

Aw to bad that would have been neat. Our season is over next week but they quit gobbling a few days ago–great time in the woods last few weeks now it’s stumping and 3-d.

Will order the book for fall season–and won’t use Bruce’s name, that just gets me a backhand:roll:

Well Steve has a lot more expertise then I –I have the same bow (don’t use it because I’m shooting long bow now) and I just shot it the way it came. Never actually looked at were the arrow was pointing –just looked at the target and shot.

Not sure this helps–but don’t try to make it to complicated–in my limited experience most problems are associated with me and what I’m doing wrong vice the equipment.

Please don’t take this the wrong way (I’ve never used a cat quiver), but what’s the upside to a quiver you can’t sit down with, and that you can’t shoot with?

😳 Well Dave my camera was sitting on top of my map pouch (possibles bag) right next to my left thigh inches from my hand. Once he moved into the gloom I thought–I should have gotten a picture of that. Then I glanced down. Probably a good thing Smithhammer would have just critiqued my attempt at art:lol:

R2 stay clear of those fires–heard it on news this morning wondered how close it was to you. Stay safe
