Along with the water jugs, I fill them up with spray foam It takes about half of can for 1 gallon water jug, give it a couple of days to dry then use them. I’ve also tied them to the side of a tree and use them for squirels. Works great

Maybe instead of a “horn porn” show with Trad equipment, why not a self help, instructional, answer your questions show. Don’t have the kill or huint as the main course, but have intriging info to bring in new members. I’m self taught, and I’m always reading and trying to learn the sport. A show with the beliefs of trad hunters and why(without downing other methods) and the HOW”S would probably reach more people, and I could learn more!!!

As a kid I shot various recurves. My dad was a career Army officer and never had time for me or my two sisters. Around the early 70’s when I was in my Navy career I had a shipmate that shot a Remington Recurve. I have never bow hunted in my life. Next thing I knew I bought a PSE compound, Late 70’s. Didn’t do much hunting with it, since I was a self taught hunter was mostly hunting with a gun. As time marched on I moved from gun and dogs( South Carolina) to compounds. Though I have taken numerous turkeys, squirrels, rabbits, and doves with a compound, have never taken a whitetail with a trad bow. Went to Colorado with a friend elk hunting, he shot trad, me compound. My bow crapped out, I used his backup Bear grizzly, carried around the mountain for 4 days and never went back to compound. I have a Browning and a Mathews on the wall but I always go to my Jefferies.

Still haven’t gotten a whitetail with recurve, but I’m giving it the old “Submarine try”.

Since we’re talking of bows does anyone have anything to say about Bob Lee Bows?. I’ve been considering a new bow. I have a Bear Grizzly and a Jefferies Royal Hunter. I like the Jefferies better but have been tossing around te idea of a Bob Lee.

Thanks for the suggestion. I do shoot with both eyes open. That’s why the dominant eye thing was bothering me. I’ve tried closing my left eye and that won’t work. Currently I’m able to shoot paper plate groups at 15-20 yards 4 out of 5 arrows. I guess I was trying to close that in. My goal is softball size groups at 20 yards. Thanks again.
