Turtle if you have a young family then there may be other priorities before getting a new bow. Your Martin is likely a very good bow. When your family has grown up and left the nest then there will be lots of money for bows and time for hunting. The time goes quick, believe me:wink:

Mine is a “Tuktu” recurve made right here in Manitoba by
Abe Penner of Caribow Archery. I’ve had it since May and it is a sweetheart:wink:

The type of stand that I have is called Rivers Edge. It is 15′ high. If there is a downside for ladder stands is that they are not very portable.

I use treestands a lot. If the trees are a little on the small side the ladder stand is definitely the best. In fact I think it is the best even if the trees are bigger. If you’re new to treestands you will definitely feel more secure in a ladder stand . Make sure to tie yourself in:D

What type of bow he shoots shouldn’t matter one bit! My two best friends both use high-tech compounds. Both of them are very ethical, good people and someone you could count on. They have their reasons for choosing what equipment they use!
The same should apply for your friend. So ya. Don’t stone him to death!!!:D

My newest broadhead is the stainless steel Zephyr. They are fairly wide, vented and fly well. I just have not shot anything with them! I really like the bleeder blades:!: Another broadhead that I have that flies really well, is the 3-blade Snuffer. Thanks to LL I’ve figured out how to get it good and sharp! This 3-blade design has to be the strongest of them all! Correct me if I’m wrong.
