in reply to: Footed Shaft Question #46112
I have two sets of footed arrows from Whispering Wind Arrows. He has different materials for the footing and uses a pine hex shaft that he gets from Canada . I might add:wink:
I am really happy with the arrows. You can buy shafting or finished arrows. Check out his website . Sorry I do not have the computer savvy to provide the link.

in reply to: Hunting & Spirituality #44981I am not a very religious person in terms of going to church on Sunday.
But I do believe there is a God:!:
One only has to look at a monarch butterfly, wood duck or any other wild creature, and that will prove that it can’t be any other way:!:
I really cannot explain my connection as it gets to deep and complicated for me to understand myself:idea:
Brucein reply to: Wolf observation. #42945Well said Smithhammer!! The same problem here with cattle producers, not so much about predators, but not wanting to let hunters have access to crown lands when cattle are there! Off topic a little bit. Sorry:wink:

in reply to: String Silencers what is the best for you ? #24019Dabersold, that does look Good !!
How do you attach the fur to the string and how big a piece is it before it is installed?
Brucein reply to: Sad to say….. #17707Lots of good points by everyone!
I really do sometimes feel that as bowhunters, and maybe moreso as traditional bowhunters, that we tend to put ourselves on a bit of a “pedestal”. When we do this we align ourselves dangerously close with the anti-hunting public!
Hunting for the most part is a non-spectator sport, and we as individuals are the ones that have to set the rules that determines which methods we use. We are the ones that have to live with these decisions as well!
Brucein reply to: String Silencers what is the best for you ? #15349I agree with you on the rain Homer, although a real hard snowstorm is an excellent time to hunt.
I use catwhiskers. The last bow I bought came with the catwhiskers installed. They were tied in such a fashion to make a perfect little ball, about the size of a golfball.
not sure how he did it but it looks pretty good and they keep the bow quiet.
Also interested to know what you hunt Stefan:?:
