Check out javaman archery….Gregg made the shrews for him and now has his on line. The Elkheart is the shrew improved…also Dave started a thread about the Elkheart and the one he got. I think it is titled Elkheart. Hope that helps.

I have an old moultrie which works well….but for a new one it would have to be a cuddeback attack ir.

I can’t make it either but I wish my reason was as good as Alex’s! Hopefully next year.

I never looked for them but here in PA they start to fall off in feb. I would say looking for them as soon as the snow is gone would be a good start.

              Alex,

Who makes MFX arrows? I use carbon express now but thought of going with easton or beaman (made by easton) when I get my new bow. They are made in the US that is the only reason I thought of switching. The carbon express are great arrows and I have not had any issues with them.

I carry the same for work and hunting…quick clot sponge, tourniquet, and Israeli bandage. The sprain/break issue will need attention for hunting. All good thoughts!

I got coyote tan…I love the qaulity as well! The Y zipper is awesome! I almost got the longbow because of the nice frame but opted for the lighter dragon slayer. I had gotten 3 other bags first and sent them back because I just wasn’t happy with the quality for the price. When I got the MR I knew it was the right choice. I love things made in the USA!

I thought of doing the H harness but never tried it…I have a nice fanny pack with a harness and it works well. However, I recently got a Mystery Ranch Dragon Slayer for hiking and future western hunts. I have used it on day hunts in PA and it works well…I am pleased with it.

I use the loctite SG gel as well. I love it and it holds the feathers on very well. I recommended it as well but Tombow can have my cut of the big-money endorsement!!!

It is your fault Dave! You are old, experienced, and can articulate in words much better then most of us. But your right, some of us could participate much more. Maybe I will out post you in 2013!
