in reply to: Ready for Deer Season #15955
1shot glad to here that there are more trad archers in south east Az. I live down near the whetstones and have the mule deer walking thru the front yard mostly small bucks but have seen some big boys in the neighbor hood. Yep! in the neighborhood not out where I can hunt them without upseting the neighbors!. And there is alot of private land here and have not been able to get access yet. I too am looking forward to the January hunt. Good luck on your hunt and be careful out there. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year !:)

I’m getting twichy for the begining of my Bow Season, checked an area I normaly set a tree-stand and found a salt-block, recently placed out, about 40yards from the tree.
I found out who it was from another web-site, Good guy that I put on some Coues during the rifle season, I shared info on the class of Coues in that area and found out what each other are driving so we can share the spot without hassles…
It may be a blessing, because I went farther up-slope and built a ground blind in a spot where I always wanted to make one, VERY heavy sign with a good set-up of constricted trails coming together, so hopefully the beast Coues I’ve been seeing the last couple of years with no shot offered, gives me look this year and the Recurve can sing…
in reply to: First With Trad Gear #14889Good Job ! that means there is still hope for a 55 year old Ariz hunter who has 5 elk hunts and seven deer hunts and only one small squirrel to show for them ! 😆
in reply to: Where Would You Live? #27211:)Oh man, how many life times do I get ? I have grown up and live in southern Arizona. Wish I had moved around to different states because we live in the greatest place on earth (USA) and there are so many great places to see. Have not been able to hunt any other state yet! But would start in Colorado if I could. Some day I hope to travel this nation and maybe fling an arrow in other states. Everyone take care and enjoy where you are for now !
