Not much finger pinch, accuracy is not the best, maybe is the wrong arrow? I used to draw 30″ with my Martin Hunter, at 62lb I used 2216 with excellent accuracy

This year I bought a closeout ABS Down Under glove for dirt cheap. I figured if I didn’t like it…oh well. I don’t even know why I put myself through this! Anyway, I tried it, and I was surprised to find…I liked my tab much better. 🙄
So, I went back to my tab and was about to ship the glove off to a fellow tradbow member, when I poured fletch-tite all over the glove. I didn’t want to ship like that, so I told him sorry, but I wasn’t going to be able to send it off.
Then I decided, what the heck, it’s ruined, just tinker with it. One of the reasons I liked a tab more is I can get the string closer to my face. Especially important since I use a rather deep hook. With a glove, you just can’t get as close because of the glove tips. So I cut the tips off. The tips had most of the fletch-tite anyway. The best of all worlds suddenly opened up to me. The glove always on my hand. Fingers and string tight against my face. It’s perfect! I’ve been shooting with my modified glove for a while now, and I’m definitely done with tabs. That’s my story anyway. 😆
Can you post a picture? I want to try a glove but can’t decide over my tab.
in reply to: Refinish Martin Hunter? #35515bobtieken wrote: I am requesting your input. My Martin Hunter needs to be refinished after this year’s elk hunt. I have had Martin do it before, but the finish was quite shiney and chipped in several places. Can you please refer me to someone who can refinish my bow with a durable flat finish? bobtieken. e-mail bobtieken@yahoo.com
I have own a Martin Hunter for 22 years now, this is what I do: 00 and 000 steel wood all over the bow and then I finished with Minwax polyurethane satin spray. Looks great and it is very durable, it gives the bow a custom look.:D
