Reminds me of woodchucks. I could have had a few shots at some this year, but I just can’t bring myself to even look for a recipe for one, so I passed. Wouldn’t mind trying it, but don’t want to be the one to cook my first. Be well.

I hear that, Alex! I’ll add squirrels to that!
in reply to: arrow material #20629Imagine a traditional archery scale. The scale goes from self bows & cane arrows all the way up to aluminum riser ILF bows and carbon arrows. the process is the same in all of it. Shooting an arrow using nothing but my muscles, instinctively or not, and if I am hunting, add the difficulty of drawing the traditional bow right before the shot and not be seen by animal. It’s all about choosing where I want to be within that scale. I did it all. And all of it is valid, and lots of fun! 😀
in reply to: Questions about Arrow Dynamics shafts #20179Dave,
I looked at the manufacturer’e website, and they did come up with a “better” version than the MFX. Maybe I’ll get them.
I don’t want want black arrows. It would remind me of my short compound phase. You don’t have that problem 🙂
in reply to: Found my way back #19670Michael,
Hunting was… huh… is fantastic for me this season. I really was out there as much as I could, and made the best of it everytime. I’m not done yet. I still have Winter deer until Jan 31st in Jersey, and until the end of February for small game and maybe a coyote here in NY State. And here in my New York City apartment, it is open season on pillows, blankets, and Black box all year long!!!:D

in reply to: DVD ideas??? #19445I agree, 700 miles alone is great. Also, Pure Bowhunting is good, as well as Paul Brunner’s Archery Elk: The dream Hunt
in reply to: Anyone use a "possibles bag"? #19433good Timing Smithhammer!!
mine has them too. I tried the belt around the waist, but then the shoulder strap was too long 😯
in reply to: Anyone use a "possibles bag"? #19419I bought the Bison Gear Haversack at Denton, because it looked great. I used it once to hunt. I don’t like anything flying around my waist when I hunt, so now it has become my New York City “Messenger” bag. Works great in the subway!! 😀
A backpack is the best way to go for me.
