in reply to: American Leathers #29735
Dave, I will try that. I recommend the duraglove! tips do not wear off. I shoot year round tons of arrows and my glove lasted 4 years. I sweated in it at home 4 Summers and in Colorado twice. Unfortunately it came apart at the seams. It costs 28.99. Alex
PS: I’m at airport in Geneva, Switzerland, flying back to NY in one hour. Using up my last wifi credit surfing Tradbow!!
in reply to: American Leathers #28673David, I do have longer and wider hands than most, great for piano, and the XL glove fits well on my left hand in overall length but my fingertips are not wide/fat enough for the glove. I’m gonna give it a try since my friend Steve McDonald told me that it’s worthy. If it doesn’t work, I will, as I said, go back to my duraglove. Alex
in reply to: American Leathers #27784I think I should have gotten a L instead of a XL. it is not tight on the fingers when I put it on, and I’m afraid when it does stretch, it will become too big and start warping around my fingers.:(
in reply to: American Leathers #27028I got one for Christmas. It is beautiful and seriously well sewn-in. But, it’s also a lot more leather, and it will take me some time to get used to it, after 8 years using some form of damascus dura-glove, but I think I will have a better release than before once I am used to it. If not, I’ll go back to dura-glove
in reply to: Rick Welch #26125So Bruc, Di he ask that you shoot non-canted?
I had a great shooting video from him, but couldn’t get into it because he shoots with his bow straight up vertical. Also, I had a hunting video from him that was totally amazing and funny! He’s a natural comedian!
in reply to: Rick Welch #26124He’s an unbelievable 3D archer!
in reply to: Antler Hunting #25763Here in the Garrison, NY woods, sheds are hard to find, since the many squirrels find them to be a Winter delicacy. I found a small 10 pointer with skull still attached once, that’s it. And still, the squirrels got to it and ate almost a whole tine even though the head was on my deck table ( before I moved back to the city, of course :))

😀 Jumping jacks and 25 yards to target!

Nice story in the magazine. Good story, well told. best, dwc
Yes!
in reply to: Minimum poundage to harvest whitetail #23522The setup is fine. The 25 yards distance, on the other hand, could be ok, I guess,if you practice enough. My personal range is defined as such: I run a 100yard sprint (for buck fever heart rate), stop and shoot 1 arrow. I retrieve the arrow. I repeat the whole thing 2X. the 3 arrows have to hit the target perfect. I increase the distance every 3 arrows. if my last good group is at let’s say 40 yards, my hunting range is half that, at 20. This season it was 45 yards, so I made my range ballpark 22, given +2 -2 according to situation. Very “rainman” isn’t it? 😀
Have fun!!

in reply to: New Robertson on the Way… #21920And from such a legendary bowyer!!
in reply to: New Robertson on the Way… #21919Nice bow. I was looking at that nice little handle. I bet the hand fits right in there like a glove, like my Classic Hunter. Congratulations!! Let us know how it shoots!
You at work: 😯
in reply to: Outdoor Injuries #21175Nothing happened to me other than an occasional twist or sprain, but what I’m most afraid of is cutting a major artery with knife or broadhead. I’m extra aware of that at all times.
