in reply to: Broadheads For Wood Arrows #63500
I would go with timeless and proven classics: ACE standard or ZWICKEY Eskimos.
Strong, good flight, sharpen easy and well, and cheap!
in reply to: ARE YOU READY? #62539My little pack is still ready from last year. My single bevel broad heads have been bathing in a container of oil so they are as sharp as when I bought them! I have to do that since I can’t sharpen single bevels!

Hi Reddog,
I usually practice on a huge pile of wood shavings. I pick a wood shaving for the first arrow, and I pick the first arrow’s nock for the second shot. I can get pretty consistent at 60 yards, maybe 6 inches apart if I blow my anchor, release and follow thru. That’s why I always start and finish by shooting at point blank range with my eyes closed. It gives me a rock solid shooting sequence, for the rest of my practice.
in reply to: EFOC arrow trajectory #50361I practice with a 57# longbow and 680gr arrows instinctively from 1 yard (eyes closed) to about 100yards (eyes open of course! 😛 )
Usually 2 arrows back to back. works for me!
in reply to: More moose mojo, please #49041I got nothing except a loud congratulations to you!!! Moose hunting is becoming legal in NY state so I hope for a miracle tag before I die!!
in reply to: Compton anyone? #47099I’m sorry I don’t have any pictures or anything to report about Compton, because I didn’t make it. I missed my morning flight to Detroit due to my girlfriend getting really sick the night before. Being 9 months pregnant, we had to go to the hospital to get fluids in her system. By the time I got to Detroit in the evening , it was too late to drive 2 and 1/2 hours to Compton! Se you another time, Robin!!:D
in reply to: Compton anyone? #57706I will! Thank you for that good info too!
in reply to: Compton anyone? #19414bowless, David. I don’t want to check any luggage.
See you there, Robin! I’m looking forward!
