in reply to: Difference between low and high quality bow #38197
About four magazines ago their was a article about a person who wrote about his high end recurve and his low end Bear recurve and at 25 yards he stack his arrows in the same spot. I have owned many many bows around 60 or so.- The best bow hands down for the money that I like is the Bear Montana longbow- If your into longbows I suggest that- For recurves you cannot beat a Bear recurve- they are priced right, shoot great- The only slight difference between a Bear and a true customer bow is the Bear slightly stacks- I am thankfull I live 40 minutes from 3 rivers archery and I can shoot 5 of the same Bear bow and hand pick the best feel Bear bow- Their is a difference from one or another out of the box- Take your time and research bows. 3 rivers has ratings for each of their products- I always look up the ratings when I ordered anything.
in reply to: Check out the two Voodoo Kustom elk longbows #38189The riser is made of real elk antler believe it or not- It takes over a year for the antler to dry to make the riser- Its a pretty neat process how they are made.
in reply to: Light Weight Hunting Bows #38172I have seen my uncle shoot many deer with a 40# pearson recurve many times. We hunt in northern Indiana. As long as you put the arrow where it belongs it will take down anything- People get to wrapped up in heavy arrows and over bowing themselves- I used to be one of them- Keep it simple and trust your shooting- Good things will happen.
in reply to: Check out the two Voodoo Kustom elk longbows #38170I have picked up two Voodoo Kustom longbows- I only think their are only about six made in the world. These bows are the coolest bows made that I have seen. Not bragging just would like for people to see the bows. Comment please
