in reply to: What's your favorite bowhunting song? #11879Feathers in the wind steel through the flesh. Mark Baker. (nut)
in reply to: Draw Weight for Deer? #57020I used to shoot a 45# Browning Wasp recurve with woodies and Bear Razorheads. It was deadly on whitetails. Kind of miss that rig sometimes.(nut)

in reply to: Draw Weight? #50631Generally speaking, shoot the heaviest bow you can shoot accurately and comfortably. The danger for a new bowhunter is to shoot to heavy a draw weight. You’ll probably develop many nasty habits. You won’t shoot well and probably lose interest. If you can, try out several bows at different weights and see which one feels best. Start out on the light side and work up after you’ve learned good form and technique. Bows from 50 to 60 lbs will work well on pigs. (nut)

in reply to: Interview with Dave Peterson #46214Come to think of it Dave you kind of do look like an aging rocker. Rock on! (nut)
in reply to: Recurve or longbow your choice and why? #45729I own both and like to shoot both but for me it doesn’t rise to the level of an approach-approach conflict.(lol) When push comes to shove I’ll always grab my trusty recurve.(nut)
in reply to: Interview with Dave Peterson #44263I’ve read both interviews. terrific. Sure would rather have David as our “spokesperson” the the aging rocker.(nut)
in reply to: Nugent gets karma-lized! #39073Well I can’t say anymore than Dave Petersen said about Nugent except that I agree 100% There could be no worse “spokesman” for bowhunting. I had the unfortunate experience of being the liason between our state bowhunting organization and Nugent’s group along with the SCI. After spending a half hour in the room with him and the SCI fool I walked out and refused to have anything more to do with them. This is just another example of how bad Ted is for bowhunting. H’s a whack job. They don’t call him the “Motor City Madman” for nothing.(nut)
in reply to: Saying Howdy #34067I’m shooting a 55# Gail Martin Classic takedown with a Great Northern bow quiver. My own woodies with Magnus 2 blades Damascus glove.
