All of what you said , including limb thickness , length etc , in my opinion home made laminated bows are the hardest to make. My stick bows are easier , meaning to say they are more forgiving , a little off here a little off there, and tahda, go shoot. I’ll post a pic of my first stick bow , its crooked , bumpy , and twisted , but it shoots soft. Its great for targets and friends to try.

Its laminated ash limbs , maple and mahogany handle. My design . It hinges real bad at fade outs so I had to spoke shave the last belly layer of mahogany off because it was not flexable enough to match up with ash
. Going shopping for more ash for belly on the weekend.
