      If you are new to the challenge of traditional archery, I would recommend aluminum or carbon. Use a shaft material that is easy to come by and consistent. Once you’re form and aim improves, you may want to build some woodies. It’s personal preference, really. I switched to beeman carbons 2 years ago from wood and haven’t looked back.

      Order your arrows from three rivers archery or another traditional dealer and they will recommend a spine.

        The Ace Standard is a classic design and tough as nails. I’ve tried others but always go back to the Ace. An added bonus is price. 6 for around $20.
