in reply to: August/September TBM #56066I loved the September elk essay and the canoe article. Haven’t read it all yet though. Great magazine. I’ll try to drop off a manuscript sometime soon.

That is so cool to have an area to hunt with a plentitude of game…
Where I hunt, we barely see much… and it sorta takes the zest outa the hunt knowing not much is around…but we had permission. That is going to change this year after 20+ years… so force me to find new stomping grounds.
I got all psyched up just reading your tale!:D
It is THE HUNT.
in reply to: North GA Bear 2014 #50477Glad to hear it!! We have a family camp in Perry CTY. Hunting has suffered there as well.

in reply to: It Begins! #48819Only on was. You can kill them year round and by any means on private land.
in reply to: Most Embarassing Shot Anyone? #46683I missed a 400 lb bear last year at less than ten yards. Shot at least a foot over her back. Completely blew my mind. She had been bluff charging and popping her teeth at me though so I guess I was a bit flustered.
in reply to: August Early Deer/Bear Bow Season #43314Good luck and keep us updated. Bears are my absolute favorite. Beautiful bow!
in reply to: Thunderchild T/D #13874Big Jim makes some of the best looking bows out there. He is one of the few that might make me stray from my widow curve.
