      I just finished “walking it off” by doug peacock. It was a fantastic read.

          So what dates can we start looking at? I had assumed it would be the opener but possibly the first saturday of the season (4th) through the following friday? What do you guys think? I need to start figuring out some dates.

            I loved the September elk essay and the canoe article. Haven’t read it all yet though. Great magazine. I’ll try to drop off a manuscript sometime soon.

                    Where I hunt, we barely see much… and it sorta takes the zest outa the hunt knowing not much is around…but we had permission. That is going to change this year after 20+ years… so force me to find new stomping grounds.

                      Glad to hear it!! We have a family camp in Perry CTY. Hunting has suffered there as well.

                            Only on was. You can kill them year round and by any means on private land.

                              I missed a 400 lb bear last year at less than ten yards. Shot at least a foot over her back. Completely blew my mind. She had been bluff charging and popping her teeth at me though so I guess I was a bit flustered.

                                  Big Jim makes some of the best looking bows out there. He is one of the few that might make me stray from my widow curve.
