Africa was only a suggestion of a place to hunt with no black flies. (They do have other things with big teeth and big claws.) If you want to hunt bears, I saw a lot of nice bears in Colorado while I was turkey hunting and no black flies there either! Location, Location, Location!!!

Best suggestion is to go somewhere without black flies. You need to learn to “help” decide where to go to hunt. You have lots of choices, like a spring turkey hunt, or hunt bears where there isn’t black flies, or go to AFRICA!!! (just to name a few) And there are LOTS of ways to “help” decide where to go. (I’m sure you know what I mean!) Personally, I don’t like to hunt in the bitter cold. I DON’T GO when it’s really cold. Keeps it fun for ME!
