this not going to be easy due to the fact as soon as the poundage increases the spine also has to increase he might try the same weight but with a lighter arrow due to the fact he will lose about 20 to 30 fps my son had the same idea he now shoots the same brand of arrow cut 3 inces shorter than mine and the spine also went down…:)

if you get good flight and they bare shaft tested well then dont change a thing cause after all accuracy is what we all want. me i shoot a hoyt dorado with carbon express terminator lites and a 100 grain point at full length and get great flight with those pulling 60lbs @ 27.5 inches my total arrow weight is only 437 grains

hi everyone, just started bowhunting when i was 37 never really hunted before, i spent 13 years in the army. moved back to indiana in 2000 that when a friend of my wife said that i should try hunting with her husband since i liked being outdoors. so i went and bought me my first compound bow had six weeks of practice with it went out a couple of times before i saw my first deer, it was an eight pointer i was sitting on the ground the deer was ten yards from me i drew back put the pin right on the vitals and released the arrow . that deer duck that arrow so fast i had never seen anything like that except in the movies and wow was i hooked. the next season i took three deer with a bow then at least 2 every year since , that was five years ago then last year i tried my luck at hunting with a recurve i have killed several dozen rabbits, and more squirrels than i can count even a coyote or two but not one deer yet . that is my goal this year. to harvest a deer with my recurve. had some one told me that i would enjoy archery and hunting with a bow 20 years ago i proably would have laughed at them i have the pleasure of surfing , hang gliding ,parachuting ,and several other things but never enjoyed anything as much as bow hunting. WOW ITS ADDICTING SO HAVE FUN EVERYONE AND GOOD LUCK TO YOU THIS SEASON!!!

any bow that feels good in you hand can be shot well when tuned properly but you have to have faith in your equipment no matter what with out that you might as well throw rocks

mine is due to the fact that my wife and son came up with a plan to get me my first brand new bow i started out with a compound that i found in a yard sale went out with it and practice for about 3 days then my friend told me i could go hunting with him i was good at 20 yrds he set me up in a ground blind isaw an eight pointer at 10 yrd drew and shot at him thats when i relized just how fast a deer can move he ducked my arrow so i set out trying to figuire out how to get a new bow after trying a dozen or so out i like the elite syengry my son was with me he told my wife and for x-mas they got me my first new bow made by elite i love archery so elitearchery is my name but the site here would not take my name so ilooked at my bow and relized that i carry 6 arrows on my bow so iused that instead.

i have used the heat method only i use a propane torch i simply have the torch setting on a table heat the nock up by getting it close to the flame and spinning it and simply pop it off with a pair of pliers
