in reply to: New Member #26800Howdy DfuDala… While hunting the southern areas of Arizona are awesome, I still get back to Ny every year for a few weeks chasing those big, numerous cousins of the coues…
Good Luck to you on your hunts…
in reply to: Big Spotted Cat #26391They are very stout big cats, way more shy then Mt. Lions…
Sad that info on them has to be kept kinda on the down-low, hunters dont want to kill them anymore then they would want to kill an eagle, but when the “ecos” get their fingers in something it’s impossible to pry them loose…
Sorry, Not trying to turn this into a political discussion, I just wanted to share the photos of these incredible animals with TBM…
Enjoy
in reply to: Trail cam Pics/This years hit list #26327Town, Green Valley, Az, is at 3000ft, the mountians top out at 9000ft so very diverse terrain in southern AZ… The true SA Jaguar, (though we have ALOT of Mt.lions here), Macho B was found first by hunters on their trail cams and the info was shared with AzG&F, they snared the Jag to get hands on and radio collar him, and it died from injuries… Not much sharing of Jag info with the G&F anymore…
I/ll see if I can get permission to post a few pics from this year of the jaguar on TBM…

Congratulations to everyone who was successful so far this season. Success doesn’t necessarily mean you have an animal down. It sounds like you are all having a good time being out in the woods.
It’s statements like this that confirm my wise(heheh I dont get to say that with conviction very often) decision why I quit another site to come here and share… Thanks Mom!!!
in reply to: Trail cam Pics/This years hit list #26306NOTE: I use trail cams early in the year, and then back them off from hunting areas (I’m trying to get a Jaguar on cam, but the cameras are set in a different area then where I deer hunt), I , along with some others, believe the cams and the extra activity educate the deer to much…

in reply to: InSitu Arrowhead/Finds #26299You realy have to train your eyes to see them, color, shine, edge-work and it is a consuming hobby, somedays you have some finds, others you come home with zip, but it still satisfys that urge to hunt… And Yes, ethics do play a part also, no digging for me, privite property with permission, reporting sites etc… I,ve found points with “impact fractures”, kinda cool to find them on the land I now hunt and know that I’m not the only one to hunt that land and make a miss… Wonder if they had the same thoughts as me at the time (Dang, how did I miss that easy shot!!!)
