        Sorry for the slow response I was on a air card load testing a generator at a hospital when I sent the first message. Thanks I will look at it closer, I have seen groves before in a recurve just not like this, looked well past the finish. It looked like it was through a layer of the bow and into the grain of the wood if that makes since. I did shoot it I was having some work done on my Elite at the archery shop and it was for sale there by a guy who makes some self bows and sells them at the shop. I think it was a old bow of his. I shot it about 20 times and loved it very quite and really smooth I think it was a 65lb.

          Thank you for the help, it was my gut feeling. The groves looked realy deep and questoned the bows life it had left in it.
