We had wonderful weather yesterday. Temps in the 70 and a blue bird sky. Perfect to go bowfishing. Which I did. I know a guy who works at a stocked bass pond. Guys buy memberships to go fish , for fish in a barrel. Its not “real” fishing to me though.
But they also have tilapia in there , they didnt stock em , they just got in there. They dont want them .
So I got a chance to go hunt some yesterday.
The pond is maybe 5 acres where I went and I got 2 good shot opporunities , , I hit one. I missed one I should have got , but when they were close enough to the bank to see , they would spook easy. If I could of shot bass, I could of went home with a cooler full:D but thats illegal.
nothing profound here, just wanted to share my experience. Im going to go to a bayou today. I will probably shoot more than 1 fish , but they will be so polluted , they are unedible. Except by my next door neighbor, from down south.
Hope you all have good a good hunting day

Thank you Steve for bringing some warm weather through sharing your story with us, I would like to try bowfishing one day. Here its cold, 10 inches of snow and winter has already been here for a couple of weeks now. It’s squirrel time here and we’ll try to get a few today, or even the odd grouse should we see a couple. Again, thank you for sharing.

I enjoy bow fishing. I’ve taken carp, bowfin and jumping mullet. I bet those tilapia are sporting and good eating too.
