        I have a pretty decent collection of books. Some better than others. A few are ‘must reads’. Shooting the Stickbow by Anthony Camera and Ramblings of the Old Derelict Bowhunter by Dr. Ed Ashby are a couple of great ones.  A bunch of them are so-so.  Not great, not bad.

        Then ……….. there’s the worst ever; from the ‘classic reprint series’, Archery and Archness by Robin Hood.   a disjointed collection of bad old English poetry that has no direction or point. The entire book had perhaps three sentences that mentioned archery. Absolutely a waste of time and coin.

          Thanks for the book report Richard.  I am an American history fan.  Not the ‘Columbus sailed the ocean blue’ era but the history before and after the civil war and native American times.

          I have picked up a couple of books over the years that, although somewhat informative, I couldn’t finish them because of the writing style of the author.

            Aeronut;

            A couple that you might like are;

            Crow Killer by Thorp / Bunker. The saga of liver eating Johnson. A good read and surprisingly,  Hollywood didn’t bastardize it too bad with the movie.

            And the one I’m reading now, Ride ‘Em As They Come by Rusty Tulk. Cowboys in the days of the Wild West Shows. Makes me glad I drive a pick-up truck instead of riding a horse.

              I recently read “The Falcon” by John Tanner.  Neat book!  Right click on the photo, click on “Open in a new tab”, go to that tab and hold the control button down while scrolling and it should become large enough to read, at least that’s what my confuser dis.
