So I got my winter range set up. Our local archery club, Humboldt Archers, was installing new target butts for the indoor range, so I snagged one of the old sets. Then I put up a tarp to keep things dry for our rainy season, and now I have an awesome target setup. It’s right outside my door, which will make me shoot everyday, even having the targets down in the swamp, which isn’t all that far, but far enough to keep from using it everyday in the rain. This should keep me in shape until hog hunting opens.

That’s a great set-up. Too bad you have a whole deer. R2 might drive up and take it in the middle of the night…

This is a non-starter. First of all you just put a target in front of the wood pile. Big deal. Besides: YOU DON’T HAVE SNOW!!! How can you have a winter range without SNOW!! With any REAL weather that deer you have there would get coated with ice, and all the arrows would bounce off!!!

Yeah I definitely don’t miss that freezing rain. We don’t get that strong of winds. When the wind does blow it’s nerve racking with all the tree limbs falling. But the tarp won’t get blown around too much. But if that member we have on here from the Nunavut chimes in he’ll put us all to shame complaining about our winters.

C’mon you know what WINTER is, you used to live here, and you know just how easy you have it out there. 😕
Perchance this will tweak his memory:

Thanks. One of the great benefits of a backyard range and working at home is the chance to shoot on a nearly daily basis. This helps in getting used to different clothing setups as the seasons progress.
The wobbly video was shot with a smartphone firmly attached to a leafless four-inch maple …
