Ok so as mentioned in orignal Whooops, I have ordered 45-50 spine arrows when I actually need a 50-55 spine. Would there be any noticable increase in spine if I dropped point weight, and if so how much lower than 125 can I go?

For what? If hunting, today’s informed consensus is that 125 maybe remains “standard,” it’s barely enough if you hit bone, etc. For target shooting only it don’t much seem to matter except that the more weight up front the better a arrow shoots (up to a point of course). I don’t mean to pry, but this morning you said you’d return the arrows for the correct spine. Now it seems you’re reluctant to do that? One thing about traditional, in my experience, is even that the “big guys” like 3Rivers are extra friendly with customers. Just send ’em back, admit your mistake, and both they and you will be happy. Don’t mean to be over forward about this, but you asked and in my onw clumsy way I’m jsut trying to help. 😛 This would be a good time for someone from 3Rivers to chirp in.

Hullo Homer. I do appreciate your forwardness. I perhaps should have been a bit more specific in why I ordered the arrows in the first place.
Long story short I ordered them to use for target and 3D shooting in order to conserve my limited supply of nicer custom fir arrows. The folks at 3 Rivers said they would weigh about the same, so I am trying to figure out a way of making them work intstead of shipping them back and doubling the wait time, which from the U.S., through customs, and into Northern Alberta can be up to two weeks or more.
So while I will return said arrows if there is no other option, I would like to make em work for convienience sake. -
You could drop to a lighter head, build out the strike plate if it’s near center shot (light spine arrows will hit to the right of the target), increase the brace height (slightly lowering the bow’s efficiency).
I have recurve bows that are very forgiving and do pretty well over 20# of spine range. Others that are pretty finicky.
Good luck and I hope you get where you need to be.

What Stump said. Build the arrow rest out. Wont take much.
Previously I had a 45lb and a 55lb set of 60s Super Kodiaks.
I built the arrow rest out a bit with leather onthe 55 and shot the same arrows out of both bows.(im a tightwad!!)
God Bless

Thanks again Stump and Steve. I just finished building out the arrow rest, and will give er a try as soon as customs decides to give me my arrows (been sitting there for ten days:(). I figure if they wanna keep them that long, they should at least install some fancy cresting and maybe a field tip or two.
