Excellent #1 .
Please refrain from mentioning chiggers. Simply the word or a thought will bring ’em on the run to my bony legs .
During spring turkey season , if I don’t use DEEP WOODS OFF the chiggers come in droves . Sounds like a herd of cattle comin’ thru the woods ,,,,then my wimpers turn into low wailing and a mixture of bloody fingernails .:D

I find deer most times while glassing, sometimes they are in a stalkable possition, direction of travel, wind in my favor, bigg enough to make the effort, but most of my glassing is to ID areas so I can set treestands or make blinds for future hunts, Bow season doesnt start untill 1Jan 2014 here for me in Az (I have a week of Bow in NY, begining of Nov into first week of rifle season(2weeks total this year in NY)…
Monsoons just ended here, amazing how the wild flowers blow-up and the green pops…

I’m thinkin chiggers relate to turkey calls as a food source.
