mine is my martin savannah! whats yours?

Like you need to ask me that…
My Bama Royal but I’m loving my Hunter more and more with those heavy wood arrows 😈
Also…my Dad (Ripforce) has a Silver Creek longbow that was made for a Michigan Traditional Bowhunters Rendezvous over a decade ago. It is 66″ and 52# and has the hat pin from that year on the riser. No one seems to know anything about it and I absolutely love it. Its a Hill style bow and has quite a bit more handshock than my Bamas but I love the thing. I don’t know why. It has some serious mojo.
I love those D-style longbows!

I’m still in love with my Grable HST @ 74Lbs. (Wish I could still shoot it.) I painted it all flat black and with the 18″ hunting stabilizer it looks like it should belong to Darth Vader. It wasn’t the fastest but it was smooth, smooth, smooth with the full working recurves. I really miss that bow.

Great Plains “Bamboo” longbow. Bought at 3-Rivers. Didnt have the bow I went for, so Dale Karch signed this one for me.
-
sounds like everyone has some good bows. im think about tryin to get a black widow PL. thats alot money for a bow!
-
Maddog mid-size longbow. That bow was so easy to shoot, and didn’t break the bank either. And Mike is an awesome man to deal with. As soon as I save up enough bottle money I’ll order me a lefty.
Here is a pic… -
I have two that I really enjoy. My Bama hunter with Osage limbs and my Tomahawk Desert fox from 3 Rivers. Looking at the Northern Mist, Dwyer and Thunder stick.
-
The ole 10 yr old Brown Recluse Seminole. I’ve tried quite a few bows and always come back to this one.
-
So far my favorite longbow has been a Shrew. I don’t own it anymore though. For years and years I shot a magnesium risered Bear T/D and I loved that bow. Oh, and I don’t have that one anymore either.
There are sooooo many bows to choose from.
At this point I’d have to say that a T/D Shrew I saw a couple of years back at KZoo felt like it could have easily become my favorite bow of all time. I just didn’t buy it…
Now if I could just trade my Bear A-handle for a sweet Shrew T/D I might be on to something. 😀

I am currently wed to a lovely blonde and very happy. But in past I’ve also enjoyed hot relationships with brunette’s and black-hairs. While I’ve always lusted after deep-reds I’ve not been fortunate enough to experience one,:D yet.
Three votes here for Shrew, as I own three of them. Including a take-down longbow, as per Todd’s opinion. Clever man, that Todd. 😀

Here is a pic…You’re the guy with the Green Maddog!! I LOVE that thing. Mike’s a great guy!

Yup I’m the lucky owner and Mike is definately a first class act. Can’t wait to order another bow from him. Hopefully I’ll have the funds by January.
-
I BEEN WANT TO TRY OUT A SHREW LONGBOW MYSELF! I JUST SEEMS THAT WHAT EVER I PUT WAY MONEY FOR A BOW WE END UP NEEDING IT FOR BILLS.
-
Turtle if you have a young family then there may be other priorities before getting a new bow. Your Martin is likely a very good bow. When your family has grown up and left the nest then there will be lots of money for bows and time for hunting. The time goes quick, believe me:wink:

i dont know about u all. but like talkin about and arrows, and equiment ppl use!

Pacific Yew Take Down. 64″ 58lb @ 28″
It’s not a love affair with the look of it. It’s the one I go to all the time because it just point and shoots like it’s a part of my body. For me, it is a very instinctively shooting longbow. It doesn’t hurt that it is also very lightweight and fits right into my pack like a pair of socks. Assembly and disassembly does not require tools.

I have two, right now. My first bow is a 55# Bear Grizzly, and I’ve had it for just over 8 years, thanks to my uncle, who got me into traditional archery. The other is a early/mid-70’s Kodiak Magnum marked as 55x#, which I’m told the “x” means +/- a pound or so. Both bows shoot really nice, and I can go back and forth between them with the same arrows. I really just like shooting any bow that’s traditional.
Michael.

My favorite is a 76 Bear Super Kodiak 55# and running a close second is a 09 Samick Spikeman 50# recurves. My BamaBows Hunter 55# is just not getting the use that it used to. I like it, but I favor the recurves more.

I have a Martin ML-14 @ 70# that soots like a well oiled machine. I also shot a Black Widow PLX Longbow and it was a beauty. I like the Shrew bow with the thumb grip too. I also shot a Howard Hill Cheetah and it was another beauty that I really enjoyed. I guess if it has a stick and string then I guess I would fall in love with it! lol

Not sure I should pick one as a favorite. It might make the rest of them jealous. 🙂
So I’ll say which ever I have in my hand at the time, to each a specific purpose, a specific moment. No favorites!
Plus, how can I justify buying any more bows to my wife?

u could give me one or two of those bows so u can get some new ones??? lol

I suspected everyone’s favorite would be as varied as the number of responses. Truth is for me.. I really don’t have an answer. I have or had Martin’s, Pearson’s, Bear’s, Hill’s, Northern Mist’s and Northwind. And I love them all for their own characterics. Due to my roving eye I’m sure they’ll be one or two more!

Martin Dreamcatcher. Woods are beautiful and grip fits like it was designed for my hand.

Well for me there have been a few fav bows over the years:
1987-1989 it was my 62″ Wapiti TD RC 60@28
1989-1998 it was my 69″ John Strunk Spirit LB 70@28
1998-2010 it was my 60″ LaClair Grayling Spirit RC 62@29
Current: 60″ John McCullough Griffin 53@28
Still like them all but the Griffin is getting the ride this season.

Umm, I can’t decide. See list below….
-
I have several Bear recurves, a Pronghorn 3pc take down, a Wild Horse Creek longbow. Then I went to MO_JAM and, I was bitten by the bug, I made my first Osage self bow. I have a Hickory stave and, I will turn it in to a bow at O JAM in march. My second bow will be better.
