I picked up the bow last August. It is awesome. I’m getting geared up for turkey season in South Carolina and was wondering what type of broadhead I should use. I’ve been practicing with 100gr field points. Look forward to hearing from you guys.

        Thanks, Andrew.

Any good sharp broadhead will be fine. Make sure you practice with your broadheads as well, since tuning or spine issues can show up with the wide points that you dont see with field tips. I like the 2 blade fixed heads. Practice because the vitals are very small on a turkey.

I prefer the 3 blade snuffer, but I’m with SL its pretty much personal preference as long as its sharp and flys well for you.

I like 3 or 4-blade for turkey – more opportunity to have a sharp surface contact the small vital area.

Biggest head I can shoot accurately, generally the big Snuffer or Wenzel 3-blades, which I’d never use on elk but penetration is no problem with turkeys and you want as much shock as possible to keep ’em from running or flying. dave

Nothing better for turkeys than a BIG OL’ SNUFFER! The original 160g.
