Hi all,
Does anyone have an opinion on the Howard Hill take down long bow?
Are they good and reliable?
Thank you.

I own that exact bow at 75#. It is very reliable, but as it has been said in other threads, Hill style bows are not very easy to shoot. I for one have issues with consistency, where as a center shot bow is much easier to hit the mark.
As reliability goes, its a wonderful bow. I plan on purchasing another at a lower weight soon.

Dear SSummer1,
Thank you for your feed back. I am looking at 55# to 60# myself.
What are the broad heads like?
Cheers:D

Think the poundage over before you buy a heavy one!! Shoot one or two before you commit. Mine is 48@28 and to really control the shot and do it without being a snap shooter is a challenge for me. Also, if you shoot three under? Get one tillered specifically at zero. They are harder to draw if they are not tillered for the string grasp method you use.

Oh! I would love to have a takedown just like that! It is on my “wish list”. I want to take some bondo to the metal sleeve and make it feel just like my straight big 5 grip:lol:

I have a Wesley at 55#, however it isn’t a t/d. As far as shooting, I seem to be able to shoot this bow better than any other bow that I have owned. I absolutely love the bow. As has been stated, they aren’t for everybody, but I sure have no complaints.
