Hi,
I can’t speak for carbon arrows, as I’m using aluminum, but maybe this would help. I used a micrometer to measure the string at the nock point. I rummaged around the shop until I found a cheap stamped wrench, that probably came with a bike or toy, which is the same thickness as the string. I boil some water and dip 2/3 of the nock in for about a five count and push the wrench into the nock. It stretches the opening just enough. Good luck. -
hello ..
i don`t like sandpaper, when you take too much away from the nock, the nock gets thinner. and with a fast bow its a little bit dangerous.
i thake a hot hairdryer and open the nock a little with a skewdriver. to hold the nock i have prepair an old arrow.. for me it works. i do the same with old nocks, then i put them a lithle tighter. for my it works… but one problem is there my fingers where da… hot 😆 -
I don’t have any good advice for a short term fix. But in the long term… Once you find some arrows you like, then you can adjust your string to fit your nocks. This is done with serving thickness and number of strands.
Making your own strings frees you up from this problem, and others. It is an easy skill to learn, and saves money in the long run. And is fun.
You can get a string making board, serving, and string material from 3rivers and others. It’s a 100 dollar investment. But you won’t have to tweak your nocks in the future…

Since you have a new string and new arrows, you don’t know which is the problem — nocks too small or serving too big. It’s cheap and easy to buy, or borrow from a friend, a different brand or type nock that fits the CE and see if that does the trick. Easy nock exchange is one of the many advantages of carbon shafts. The serving will compress a little after some shooting. dp

If I need to open a nock I like the heat method. Any time you use a file, sandpaper or anything rough you risk the chance of roughing the throat of your nock. This could wear your serving down faster.

I had the same issue and I purchased Bohning B nocks…they fit the arrow and string much better for me…..good luck
