I kind of took a self imposed break of about 17 years from shooting compeition due to my job i was on the road too much to practice let alone compete. But in the interim we lost the Traditional archers of Calirornia club which wasa shame. I was wondering if anyoen was aware of a traditional club in northern california im in the sacramento area.I was also wondering what it takes to start a club catering to longbow and recurve shooters that could put on shoots. Im just wondering here and trying to detewrmine if there is any interest in trying to get sucha club started again in norhtern California? TAC was really a great club and put on some insanely fun shoots that woul daw a pretty good sized group of shooters.
Im somewhat organizationally challanged but Who knows.

Hey Codger even though we’re in the same state I’m still 6 hours north of you. But we have the Humboldt Archers club based out of Eureka. Then there is the California Bowmen Hunters/State Archery Association you could check out to get started. There’s a big traditional shoot near Santa Rosa and another 3D shoot near Redding each year.

I beleive the big shoot near Santa rosa was the yearly TAC shoot and they have gone away as far as i can dertermine their emial is no longer being answered and i didnt recieve a renewal notice last year. I’ll look into the Redding shoot and maybe run this by the CBH. Thnaks for the input ill check it out.
