I would do so also!!!!!!!!!!! This is the only outdoor related website that I give a flip about. We here strive to be as good as we can be but we don’t bear an attitude of better than thou! Cannot be said of the others.

I just left another hunting site(7years, 1000posts) because of the, what I feel, was a loss of respect for the land and the animals that make what we do a deeper connection then just the score of the critters we chase…

Thanks, Robin. Hearing that from you means a lot to me, esp. right now, and I presume you are referring to the fact that I haven’t forced you to delete me too awful many times. 😀

Our rules of decorum prevent me, or anyone, from wailing on other sites in explicit terms, but I will say that the lack of a single dignified, civil bowhunting site is what motivated me to pitch in and help get this one going. The reward has been seeing how many truly great trad bowhunters, people, there are out there. So thank you.

Our classified have always been radically underused. More leads to more, so use this free service any time you can.

Time for the evening hunt. I almost lowered the string on a prime cow last night, when a herd of grouse exploded all around her and end of story. Oddest way I’ve ever had a hunt spoiled and the first grouse I’ve seen since season opened. Murphy never sleeps. 🙄 Try again tonight (I’m in overtime, like last year, with a private land cow tag, having lost most of either-sex archery season to rain and pain. With good meds and good weather, it’s more fun out there now than the entire month of Sept., except that bugling is sporadic at best.)

I add my thanks for this site. If it were not for Dave and your work I would still be dreaming about getting back into trad bow after a 42 year layoff most of that time influenced by the gadgets and marketing of other sites and business’s.

This is a Great site! One of the two that I visit with regularity.

The problem with the classifieds at TradGang was with people getting scammed by others, I believe.

People making deals collecting $$ and never sending the product. So they closed them and now only contributing members can access them. Unfortunate….

This is a great site and I hope it continues to be one and thanks again to everyone who makes it a special one!

We do require that you are a “member” of this site to post a classified ad, but anyone on the internet can see and reply to the ad. 😯 That does open it up to all the wackos in the internet world of scams and dishonest people, but I’d hope that the person selling the item is an honest member just selling some of their used gear. Given the situation that you described, I would probably make the same call, but maybe we had that structure in place all along. We won’t ever charge you to use it though.

I’ve been on many sites but must say this one is special…though I’ve not met anyone personally yet (w/exception of a too short chat w/ Col Mike at Denton and then couldn’t get together afterwards 🙁 ) I’ve come to know / deal with a few folks, Dave being one. The respect here, the familial vibe and the free sharing of advice, info and just some ideas really makes this my “go to” web presence.

I’ve been fortunate on TradGang as far as some classified dealings. Purchased a few things and never had an issue though I’ve heard quite a bit from the few folks there I’ve actually met…it’s a sad reality…:evil:

Anyway, WebMom, Dave, Col Mike, Alex, the Steves and everyone else too numerous to mention, thank you for the fun, fellowship and all the great advice and opinions. Always a great time here. Hope to share a campfire or two w/ each and everyone some day. :D:D
